Amon G. Carter Foundation is a Texas non-profit corporation established in 1945 by Amon G. Carter and Nenetta Burton Carter. Primary fields of interest include the arts; education; health and medical services; human and social services; programs benefitting youth and elderly; civic and community endeavors that enhance quality of life.

The foundation does not make grants or loans to individuals. As often as possible the foundation prefers to meet with organizations submitting a request.
Most grants are directed to projects and programs in Tarrant County, Texas. Applying organizations must qualify for exemption under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) or other appropriate Sections.
Applications may be submitted at any time. Refer to the foundation website for more information regarding what should be included in this request. Submissions are received and processed throughout the year. The Foundation Board meets three times each year to consider grant requests. Meetings are typically held in February, May, and November.
Award amounts vary by individual proposal up to $1,000,000. Most awards are between $25,000 and $50,000.
