The goal of this solicitation is to support communities in developing a wide variety of desistance or diversion strategies that are evidence-based or promising models for youth at risk of becoming gang involved or continuing in the gang lifestyle. Specific objectives include:

Eligible applicants are limited to states, units of local government, federally recognized tribal governments, nonprofit organizations and for-profit organizations, and institutions of higher education.
Applications were to be submitted by June, 24, 2019. A similar deadline is anticipated annually.
Up to $2,000,000 is available in funding. Maximum award is $500,000. Up to 4 awards will be granted. Project period is for 36 months for projects beginning on October 1, 2019. Cost sharing/matching is not required.
