    Summary

    The JAG-LLE Program replaces the Local Law Enforcement Block Grant (LLEGB). Through the JAG-LLE Program, funding is made available to units of local law enforcement and tribal governments for the purchase of equipment. Applications will be accepted for the following types of equipment:

    • Camera/Surveillance Equipment
    • Computer Equipment
    • Duty Equipment
    • Technology
    • Medical
    • Vehicles - up to a max of $10,000

    Equipment can only be awarded for full-time Law Officers. Priority may be given to those who have not received significant funding in the past five years from this grant program.

    Unallowable equipment includes, but is not limited to:

    • Aircraft of any sort
    • Armored vehicles of any sort
    • Command and control vehicles of any sort
    • Explosives and pyrotechnics
    • Breeching apparatus
    • Riot batons, riot helmets, and riot shields

  • Eligibility Details

    Eligible applicants are Oklahoma units of local government (i.e., city, county, or town) and tribal governments. Police departments and sheriffs' offices must apply through their county commission or city council. Private/nonprofit organizations, campus security departments, jails, and state agencies are not eligible to apply for this funding. 

    Applicants must ineligible for a direct JAG grant with the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA).

    Deadline Details

    Applications were to be submitted by 11:59 p.m., by October 11, 2024. A similar deadline is anticipated annually.

    Award Details

    Up to $544,714 is available in total funding in 2024. Individual awards may not exceed $10,000. Cost sharing/matching is not required. Grant periods will extend from January 1, 2025 to June 30, 2025.
